Transforming clinical trials: crafting a human-centered digital experience

'Interestingsamples' is a health-tech startup born in Slovakia during 2019. The pandemic inspired a big idea: make clinical studies fully virtual. The company wanted to build a platform that allowed researchers to publish clinical studies online, recruit participants remotely, and manage the entire sampling process online. Kits were delivered to participants, instructions were guided step-by-step through the app, and all samples were returned without any physical contact. Clinical trials had traditionally been expensive, slow, and heavily dependent on in-person logistics. The challenge was to design a clear, trustworthy digital experience that transformed a complex process into something intuitive, human, and scalable.
